Dear Friends

Thank you so much for all your support, prayers, messages, calls, cards and gifts over the last few weeks. They have really encouraged us after having had to leave Chad so soon after we arrived.

We just wanted to update you a little on what will be happening for us over the next few weeks:

We plan to leave the UK on Monday 14th June; the first stage of our journey will be in order to obtain the necessary visas to return to Chad.

Following that we hope to be able to travel on to Chad.

We would value your prayers at this time – for negative covid tests, smooth travel, ease of obtaining the visas and therefore the ability to return to Chad, and that there are no negative changes to travel regulations over the next few weeks.  Please do continue to pray also for the country and the people of Chad and that there would be peace and stability.

Whilst travelling is definitely more stressful and complicated than it once was, we are excited at the prospect of being able to return to the life we had just begun in Chad. Both of us have ideas as to how we might take our roles forward, though at the same time are a bit nervous about getting back to French speaking again!
