About Us

The church has a long history, we’ve been in Meeting Lane since 1744.

We are an inclusive church welcoming young and old, black and white, LGBTI and straight, neurodiverse, and neurotypical people, believing that Jesus reconciled all things to himself on the cross and that every person is created in the image of God and is of infinite value and worth. We believe that God has a wonderful plan for all humanity and our job is to join in with what God is doing.

We believe that following Jesus requires us to love our neighbours and to seek and work for justice in our society so that we might bring a little bit of heaven to earth.

All our worship is an eclectic mixture of old hymns played on the organ and new worship songs led by our music group, with both free and liturgical prayers, and a short sermon usually by the Minister. Every service includes a children’s slot after which there is a creche and young people’s groups and once a month our Community and Families worker leads an all-age worship service.

We have a preaching team which supports a number of local churches, a worship team, a pastoral team, a catering team, and various groups for young and old. Our services are at 10.45 on Sunday mornings. We welcome people of no church background and all church backgrounds, people without faith who are exploring and people of faith who long to be growing in their understanding and following of Jesus.

The church is part of Baptist Association of Great Britain & Ireland, Central Baptist Association, and the Kettering & District Fellowship of Baptist Churches. We support The Leprosy Mission, BMS World Mission, The London City Mission, Fairtrade Foundation and Tools With A Mission.
