Carol Singing at Sainsbury’s

Carol Singing at Sainsbury’s

On Saturday 19th December some people from our church joined together with the Gretton Silver Band to Sing and play carols outside our local Sainsbury’s store. Our thanks to Sainsbury’s for allowing us to be there and to Gretton Silver Band for playing for us. We collected for Spurgeon’s Childcare.

Music is a bridge between heaven and earth that God often uses to reach us.

We have a number of brass players within our church as well as a choir and a music group – we have a rich and diverse worship culture that enables singers and musicians to express their love for God in music ranging from contemporary Choruses to Hymns, Carols and Cantatas.

On Sunday the new church Brass ensemble led the singing of carols when our Sunday morning Service took place in the church hall as the junior church prepared for the all face carol service in the evening.

In the evening our music group played for the family carol service.

On Wednesday the Church Brass Ensemble will provide music as the Town Council holds open air carol singing, as well as traditional carols this will include a new arrangement of “White Christmas” by our Minister for Cornet, Alto Trombone, Tenor Trombone, Bass Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba. We are delighted to be helping the Town Council and rejoice that a number of the counsellors all of whom do great work for our communirty are Members at our church.
